Shotcrete for Slope Stabilization

Dry Steel Fibered Shotcrete

Shotcrete is an effective technique to use for dental work on a slope and to fill in void areas below rock structures. Shotcreting can be used to support rock structures where rock scaling may not be an option. Using shotcrete with steel fibers in the mix and welded wire mesh reinforcement, rock drains and rock dowels, you can permanently stabilize the area of concern. There are a few different types of shotcrete mixes and the following are a few examples:

  • Dry Steel Fibered Shotcrete - this material is a pre-blended material and has a high early strength and is applicable when ambient temperatures are below 5°C (40°F) or above 35°C (95°F).
  • Accelerated Dry Steel Fibered Shotcrete - this material is a pre-blended material and has a high early strength and is applicable when ambient temperatures are below -5°C (20°F).
